PRICE GUIDE

Pricing guide for common services (which we refer to as "dailies") is below. We use the word “guide” because nothing is cast in stone; on occasion, we run into unexpected surprises. Restoration jobs, major repairs and new builds ("projects") are performed and priced on a case by case basis. You will always be kept in the loop, and no additional work will be performed without your authorization.  Payment for dailies is expected at drop-off.  Payment arrangements for projects will be determined by the scope of the job.

Too busy to come to the shop?  We will come to you, pick up your instruments and return them upon completion.  $50 for round trip service within 20 miles of our shop.  $1.25 per mile for trips over 20 miles.

RESTRINGS  (You're welcome to supply your own strings, or purchase from us.  BFW is an authorized dealer for Stringjoy and for Curt Mangan Strings.)

Most Guitars, Mandolins, banjos, etc up to 8 strings:  $30
9 - 12 strings:  $50
Floyd Rose restring:  $50
Classical Guitar restring: $40

THE LEGENDARY SOUTHEAST SETUP

This service features a 19 point inspection including cleaning the instrument, lubrication, neck relief adjustment, expertly dialing in string height & intonation, stringing & stretching, oohing and ahhing as well. You’ll get an inspection report detailing our findings.

Up to 8 strings:  $80 and up
9 - 12 strings:  $100
Classical setup: $100
Floyd Rose setup:  $110

BONEWORK (requires setup as well):

Bone Nut:  $70
Bone Saddle (compensated or straight):  $70
Chef's Special - Bone Nut, Saddle, and Southeast Setup: $200

FRETWORK (most fretwork prices include a Southeast Setup.  New bone nut is included in estimate.)

Electric, acoustic or classical fret level & dress: $250
Floyd Rose dress: $300
9 - 12 string dress: $290
Soften fret ends/cure fret sprout (setup/nut not included) $60
Refret, unbound rosewood, etc.: $500

CUSTOM MADE PICKGUARDS

We can create a custom pickguard for your instrument. Cavity covers as well.
Prices start at $50 and vary by complexity of design and materials used.

WIRING JOBS:

Install preloaded pickguard: $50

Acoustic pickup installation: $75-$175

STRUCTURAL REPAIR:

Broken headstock: $450 - $600
